Join DORR in Uptown Sedona for the Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Democrats in Sedona have marched for voting rights, women’s rights, and environmental and social justice. Now we’re marching for fun in the Sedona St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday, March 18. Here’s how you can be part of the patriotic fun:
- Help decorate our float! We’ll be decorating a truck with red, white and blue streamers, bunting, and DORR banners. Meet us at the DORR office at 7:30 on Saturday morning. We’ll decorate our float and depart for uptown at 8:30.
- Be in the parade! Meet us in Uptown to walk with our “float” or ride in it.Give yourself plenty of time to arrive in Uptown and to park so that you can join our group around 9:30 – 9:45.Park behind the Wayside Chapel and catch a free shuttle or walk the few blocks to the Jordan Rd. parade route. Look for the DORR float – a dark blue pickup truck decorated with red, white and blue.
Wear your best red white and blue, with a touch of green. Congressman Tom O’Halleran intends to join us for the festivities. We’ll be giving out packets of wildflower seeds – “seeds of change” as we parade along. We look forward to marching with you and with Tom as we make a strong showing for the Democrats!
